About Ballroom by Jay
My journey as a ballroom dance instructor began in 2009 and, in addition to teaching students the art of ballroom dance, my path evolved, and I began competing as a professional ballroom dancer in 2013. As a result of dancing competitively- both professionally and with my students- I was able to develop a teaching style that combines the technical knowledge necessary to create a greater awareness of the dance itself, as well as bring fun and fresh ideas to my lessons. My approach focuses on being patient, adaptable, and professional with my students, while at the same time fostering a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for every person who walks through my studio doors. Regardless of where you’re starting from, I believe that every dancer has unlimited potential.
