About Berkeley Ballet in Berkeley
BBT’s pre-professional Studio Company dancers share their passion for dance through performances in BBT’s annual programming as well as collaborations with organizations including SF Girls Chorus, Berkeley Symphony, and BAMPFA. Dedication – Berkeley Ballet believes in the value of disciplined, rigorous training at all levels and ages. We see perseverance as a skill that both youth and adults can cultivate in the dance studio and apply to all parts of their lives. BBT’s Pre-Ballet Division invites young dancers to unlock their creativity and awaken a love for dance with age-appropriate lessons that build a strong foundation for future study. Rhythm & Motion is a high-energy, dance-based workout that incorporates a dynamic mix of movement and music styles. The choreography is firmly rooted in dancer fundamentals and is inspired by popular music from around the world.
