Center Stage Dance Studio is a family owned business founded by Mary Pilalis, a dance professional for decades in the Chicagoland area. Center Stage is home to the Aspire Dance Company , Center Stage Performing Company , and recreational classes in Dance Movement, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Tumbling, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. From beginners to pre-professional dancers, there are opportunities for every student to learn, grow, perform and compete. Mary Pilalis has been a Chicago dance professional for decades. She began her training with Yvonne Palmer and then went on to study at Lisa Boehm School of Dance, Lou Conte Dance Studio, Joel Hall Dance Center and currently takes classes with Tap Master Jay Fagan.

Our mission at Stardom Dance Academy is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique experience in which the student can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer. We are focused on instilling confidence in each and every dancer so they will achieve their own individual artistic goals. Our highly trained and certified instructors have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines. Synergy Dance Academy
For more than fifteen years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching dancers of all ages and abilities, and it continues to be one of the greatest joys of my life. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Grand Valley State University and spent ten years performing professionally in concert dance, musical theater, and commercial dance. Those experiences not only shaped me as a performer but also strengthened my belief in the importance of strong technical training, thoughtful instruction, and a lifelong commitment to learning. At Synergy Dance Academy, we believe every dancer deserves thoughtful, high-quality training that prioritizes strong foundations and long-term growth over shortcuts. Through technical excellence, disciplined instruction, and a supportive community, we empower dancers to develop confidence, artistry, and character while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the art of dance.
