About Jeffie Jean Studio in Baton Rouge
Jerisse Bolton Grantham is the owner of the Jeffie Jean Studio and the daughter of the legend Miss Jeffie. The studio celebrated “85 Years of Magic” at their annual dance revue last June. In 1941, Jeffie Jean started instructing numerous students, opening her studio, and choreographing many shows in the Baton Rouge area. That is when Miss Jeffie’s legacy began. Jerisse and the studio believe that tap is the dance form that all ages can learn and enjoy. The studio ages range from 3 to 97 tapping, learning, and enjoying the sounds of rhythm, creative expression and feeling the connection of dance. To tap is to live a life of joy by sharing the rhythms of your heart!
