Welcome to La Rita’s Dance Studio, formerly Bernice’s Starrstep Dance Studio. For the past 95 years, Bernice’s Starrstep Dance Studio has been a family-owned and operated dance studio offering quality dance instruction to students. Bernice’s Dance Studio was founded in 1929 by Bernice Miller Burlingame. When she opened her studio, she offered classes in ballet, tap, and acrobatics. Bernice passed away in 1989, and her daughter, Starr Burlingame, stepped in to continue the legacy. Welcome to La Rita’s Dance Studio, formerly Bernice’s Starrstep Dance Studio. For the past 95 years, Bernice’s Starrstep Dance Studio has been a family-owned and operated dance studio offering quality dance instruction to students.
