About The Dance Studio in Hoover
Jaclyn Horsley Shiflett is a Birmingham native who has traveled extensively studying, competing, creating, and performing. Her teaching career began 22 years ago with Monica Barnett Smith, Founder of Exclusively Ballet, who presented the opportunity to choreograph, costume, direct and produce competitive teams and annual recitals. Seven years ago Jaclyn founded The Dance Studio in Hoover, AL where she has continued to encourage young artists to pursue excellence in dance. Jaclyn specializes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Modern and has been training in these styles plus Hip-Hop, and Tap since the age of three. Her pursuits began with Monica Barnett Smith of Exclusively Ballet along-side Wes Chapman and Roger VanFletere n of the Alabama Ballet.
