About The Pointe School of Dance in Cedar Rapids
WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START DANCE? We offer dance classes starting at age 1. Our youngest dancers take class alongside a caregiver. Students have the option of taking an independent dance class beginning at age 2. In addition to leading The Pointe, Vanessa is a competition judge, convention teacher, and speaker who coaches dance educators and studio owners on best practices in student safety and wellness, business management, and parent communication. She brings a current, industry-informed perspective into every aspect of the studio. Miss Denise has extensive experience performing and teaching a wide range of styles, including ballroom and Latin dance. She leads our Chance to Dance program, which provides meaningful dance opportunities for students with special needs.

Never Dream Less (Legacy Arts & Outreaching Center)
Our goal at Never Dream less is to encourage kids to have organic fun with team-building activities, dance, arts and crafts, and mentorship. We teach the kids to cope without electronics and have social skills. Our goal in the future is to incorporate tutoring. We thrive on instilling confidence and a leadership mentality. As a kid growing up in my community, if you were not involved in sports or school, you often fell in between the cracks. I was a wrestler and a dancer in many urban dance groups in the Chicago area. I noticed a void that needed to be filled within the community of Cedar Rapids.
