About Theatre School of Dance in Bossier City
In 1962 Marion Mills opened Theatre School of Dance as the first performing arts institution in North Louisiana to partner with the Royal Academy of Dance in training students. Mrs. Mills had received extensive training in dance in Europe, competing all of the Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams and The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance in Tap, Modern Dance and National Dancing. She taught throughout the United States and Europe. The dance school grew because of the excellence of her program and the high standards she set for her students. Mrs. Mills retired in 1999 and gave the studio to her daughter Celia Mills. CiCi, owned and operated the dance school for several years prior to the sale of the school to Emily Huber Seale in 2003.
